A giant harbor barrier is off the table but a series of buffers, sea walls, elevated landscapes and open space will together help protect the city from rising sea levels under a plan unveiled by Mayor Martin J. Walsh this morning
The plan, called “Resilient Boston Harbor,” provides protection from East Boston all the way to the Dorchester shoreline, Walsh said and it takes the idea of a massive barrier wall around the harbor off the table, for now. (Read more)
